DORMAN PACIFIC CELEBRATES 90 YEARS IN BUSINESS

Most birthday celebrations for 90-year-olds are pretty low key affairs - a few walkers, some cake and lots of candles. But for this was not the case for the 90th Birthday celebration of California hatter Dorfman Pacific.

Over 250 people came from across the country (and the globe) to attend the event - that started with a factory tour and reception - and ended with a cocktail party and banquet at the Brookside Country Club in Stockton, California.

The factory tour was expertly choreographed to show every single phase of product inception – from design, to artwork and graphics, embroidery, photography, samples, sales, trade show preparation, construction, shipping and distribution. It seems that this company, that has over 30 brands, has everything neatly packaged for perfection.

BOLLMAN HATS GETS TOP BILLING ON TV

Bollman Hats CEO Don Rongione was recently interviewed on Fox43 for a Made in PA segment. FOX43's Michael Gorsegner gave viewers an inside peek into the world of the Bollman Hat Company, "where the lid is their livelihood."

The interview is below – so is the link to the actual video of the Fox43 interview.

"A hat can be worn for both function and fashion. One Lancaster County company has been covering heads for over 140 years.

"We are America's oldest hat maker. We were founded here in 1868," said President and CEO Don Rongione.

At Bollman Hats in Lancaster County, tradition runs deep. The company has been producing hats since just after the end of the Civil War.

"It's a great source of inspiration when you have 143-years of heritage that you want to perpetuate," Rongione said.

This heritage drives the 200 plus workers at the Adamstown plant. Those employees are churning out most of the 600,000 hats a year made by the company.
